The young Indian actor, Priyank Sharma, is popular thanks to the reality TV shows he took part in, like ‘Splitsvilla’ and ‘Bigg Boss’. His next project will be a college teenage drama, and he needs additional preparations for it.
The actor has a massive female fan base, and is a fitness freak. During ‘Bigg Boss’, he was often working out.
Now that he has his first role in a fiction show, he started a strenuous fitness regime to get in shape for the role. He had this to say on the matter:
“I was always a fitness enthusiast and was in a decent lean shape earlier. I met with an injury and the medications led me to put on some seven kilos. When I was offered this role, I thought that it is a make-or-break opportunity for me.
To prepare myself for the role, I am on a no-roti, no-sugar diet for a month. I have reduced my intake of sugar and salt to a great extent and drink two liters of water a day. But there are cheat days as well once in every eight days.”
He also added:
“It’s been a tough journey, but I’m overwhelmed with the response I’m getting so far. I’ve worked hard to get this far and I just want to give my best because there’s no such thing as a free lunch.”
The young actor believes that it takes a lot of hard work, devotion, and perseverance when you have to maintain a physique required for a certain role:
“It’s not easy to maintain such a physique for long. I’m consistently trying to not stray, and maintain my six-pack abs. It’s the toughest job in the world. I have been working towards it for the past one year and a half. It’s hard to diet for that long. My efforts have finally paid off.”
