Primary, Non-Chargeable Batteries

These batteries are compact, light in weight, and are made of non-rechargeable hermetically sealed lithium Sulphur dioxide cells.

This battery is intended for the powering of tactical communication and radio sets.

It incorporates safety devices like TCO, diode and slow blow fuse, the shelf life is more than five years, while the wide operating temperature ranges from -30 C to + 55 C.

This non-rechargeable battery is meant to power the Radio Set HX PRC – 6020.

Like the previous, it incorporates safety devices like TCO, diode and slow blow fuse, and has a shelf life of more than five years. It also has a wide operating temperature range of -30 C to + 55 C.

The third battery on the list is made to power up the BA5600 tactical computers.

Like the previous two, it incorporates safety TCO, diode and slow blow fuse safety devices, and can survive on the shelf for more than five years. Likewise, it has a wide operating temperature range of -30 C to + 55 C.

4. 12V, 15Ah

This is another battery made exclusively to power the tactical communication systems and radio sets, and another than meets safety measures like TCO, diode and slow blow fuse. It also has a long shelf live of 5+ years, and can operate on temperatures ranging from -30 C to +50 C.

5. +7V, +18V, -18V

This battery is a bit different from the previous four. It consists of three separate sections made with 139 Nos of lithium thionyl chloride (LiSOCl2) cells, which are connected in the series-parallel configuration under each section. There are a safety fuse and a diode provided in each string of these three sections for protection against short circuits and charges. The battery provides the voltage regulators with the necessary supplies and can power the entire electronics for 300 days at the end of a 4-year life.

It is not chargeable, and it incorporates diode and slow blow fuse safety devices. The shelf life is also five years, and it operates from -30 C to + 50 C.

Secondary, Rechargeable Batteries

These battery packs are compact, lightweight and, and are made of rechargeable sealed nickel-cadmium cells.

1. 12V, 1.6Ah

The battery is made to give power to the COMET equipment remote unit. IT has a long cycle and calendar life, and can operate in a wide temperature range of -30 C to +50 C.

2. 24V, 4Ah (Hf)

24V, 4Ah (Hf)

This one is intended to power tactical communication sets and radio stations. It also has a long calendar and cycle life, and can operate on temperatures as low as -30 C, and as high as +50 C.

3. BB390

This battery can power various devices, including Sincgars and ATCS, FALCON, KY-57, MXF430, and PRC-119 / 117, which are used mainly in NATO member states. They have a voltage of 12 / 24 V, and the capacity of 9.6 / 4.8 Ah. Lastly, they have a long and reliable cycle life of 300 cycles per minute, as per IEC specifications.

4. 25.9V, 90Ah

This battery is used for powering portable field radars and military communication equipment. It is a high-performance rechargeable Li-ion battery with a long cycle and calendar life. It operates between temperatures of -30 C and + 55 C, and has built-in protection and safety features, high current discharge capability, and the state of charge indicator display.

5. BB 2590

BB 2590

The last battery on the list is made to run Sincgars and ATCs, FALCON, KY-57, MXF430, PRC – 119/117, equipment used by countries that are members of NATO.

This high-performance rechargeable Li-ion battery has a nominal voltage of 15 / 30 V, and the capacity of 14 / 7 Ah. Both calendar and cycle life are long and compact, while it works between temperatures of +20 C and +55 C.

The battery offers high rate discharge capability, has built-in protection and safety features, and a state of charge indicator display.
